coming of spring

picture taken in an past life,
when things were warm and green

This afternoon is a lovely, lazy afternoon.
A watch the sunset from your overlooking window kind of afternoon.
I love it.
It's a Norah Jones afternoon.
A picked flowers in a jar sitting in the window kind of afternoon.
It's one that hints at the coming of spring.
I can't wait.

Something funny happened today.
I felt really bad,
but I also thought it was quite comical.

A few days ago, Chris had unplugged one of my wallflowers and set it on the floor to replace with his phone charger. Normally it wouldn't have bothered me. This time it bothered me because he had done it 3 days in a row.

Unfortunately, he was gone when I noticed my frustration. So, in an effort to remind myself to let him know my frustrations, I hid his phone charger. I thought it would be a good reminder. When he started saying, "Hey Aimee, have you seen my phone charger?" I could say, "Yeah, I have! And by the way..." It wasn't too hard of a spot where I hid it. Just in the towel drawer, where he wouldn't be looking for his phone charger.

Well, I didn't plan on not being around when he was in need of his phone charger. I didn't think about that.

When I came home from work today I found this note on the kitchen counter,
along with his phone next to the note:

Aimee,
Can't find my charger.
If you know where it is, please charge my phone.
I love you,
Chris

Wooooops.
Sorry Christopher!
Now... could you please let the wallflower be. :)
