Swiftmas continued

Christmas continued for us all last week. We had it all planned out: we would do our Christmas on Christmas Eve with have a nice dinner; then we would wake up and drive to Rolla for my Mom and Tim's Christmas; after a day with them we would go to my Dad and Suzanne's (also in Rolla) for their Christmas; and finally, we would go to St. Charles for the Paule family Christmas party on Sunday.

Well things changed pretty quick.

Around 10:00 pm on Christmas Eve we realized that the weather was getting pretty crummy and would only get worse. By the time we woke up the next morning there was supposed to be snow and ice on the ground. Well, if any of you know the kind of car I drive- ice and snow are not good things, especially on long windy roads like Highway 63. We had to make a decision quick, and so we opted to take the road in the night.

By the time we packed up and left it was after 11:30pm. We hyped up on coffee and Dr. Pepper and made a fun trip out of it. We arrived safely at my Mom's a little after 1:00am, just before the snow started.

What a way to start. :)

We had a great time, gave our gifts, got great gifts, slept tons, ate more, and enjoyed spending time relaxing with our family.

Here's a few snapshots of our week:
