Jar Drink Mixes

A simple, quick gift

I wanted to share one the things that I made for our family members for Christmas gifts. Since money was tight this year, we tried to think of clever ways to give gifts. I searched recipes online for different powder drink mixes. (There are tons, along with brownie, cookie, and cake mixes).

With Chris' help, I decided to use a recipe for Mexican Hot Chocolate. We spent a couple weeks collecting old glass bottles from spaghetti sauce, coffee, alfredo sauce, and even salsa.

I combined all the ingredients together in a large bowl and divided them among the jars.

Ingredients:
1/3 cup light brown sugar
3/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 1/2 teaspoon powdered vanilla
1/4 cup cocoa
2 1/2 cups powdered milk

Finally, I made a simple gift sticker containing ingredients and Merry Christmas wishes and tied around a cute bow with extra ribbon I had lying around.

These can be great for any holiday and they are really easy to make.

Thanks! It was free. Top right corner of the blog has a link that says LeLou blogs, something like that. Go there to see more. There were many cute ones. :)
